Air Purification Equipment in the Clinic

One of the main risks of COVID-19 in dentistry is the aerosol generated during treatment, which is dispersed in the air. It is the air quality in the Clinic that is one of the essential safety criteria during this period. That is why for your and our safety, we have installed a UV light-based air purifier with a fan, UV disinfection chamber, ionizer, and cleaning filter in each office.

How does it work?

The fan draws air through the bottom of the unit. The air enters a high-flow air filter with antimicrobial properties and then short-wave ultraviolet light (UV-C) is used to inactivate airborne pathogens and microorganisms like viruses, mold, bacteria, and other primitive organisms. 

Why is purified air beneficial for us?

Purified air is better for our health. It not only increases the body's resistance to diseases but also reduces respiratory problems. Moreover, anxiety and depression are reduced in clean air. However, undoubtedly, the main benefit of purified air is disease prevention.

Is the air purifier safe to use?

All the installed equipment in the Clinic has a CE Declaration of Conformity and meets the essential requirements of the European Union norms on health, safety, and environmental protection. UV-based air purifiers are often used in operating theaters, hospitals, and nursing homes. In many developed countries, UV lamps have been used for disinfection for a few decades already.
